Aaron Jagdfeld, President and CEO of Generac, stated, "For over 20 years, we've provided reliable backup power to the people of Puerto Rico. Even when Hurricane Maria destroyed the island's power grid and left 95% of residents without power, we ensured the quickest possible restoration of electricity. We are proud to receive this grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to provide power assurance to residents suffering from power outages."
Maria Robinson, Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office, said, "The Department of Energy is excited to partner with Generac to install residential solar and battery storage systems across Puerto Rico, offering help to families in need."
Norm Taffe, President of Generac Energy Technology, said, “By collaborating with local installers and businesses, we not only gain valuable support but also promote job creation and community development. This partnership ensures the supply of high-quality, resilient solutions while boosting local workforce and economic growth.”
