On September 5, 2013, AWCCA 2013 Assembly Meeting was held in Jakarta, the presidents of cable association from Mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam attended the meeting.

In the morning, Wire & Cable branch of China electrical equipment industry association, Indonesia cables association, the international copper association jointly organised a half-day seminar. Mr. Gao Qingguo, the honorary President of wire and cable branch of China electrical equipment industry association (entrusted by Mr Wei Dong, chairman of AWCCA) and Mrs. Ding Weixia, the deputy general manager of Shanghai SECRI Optical & Electric Cable Co, ltd has communicated with Indonesian cable companies, and present on the topics of “The current situation and future development of China cable industry" and " The introduction of test service and other services in Shanghai electric cable research institute".

In the afternoon, representatives of different cable association from different countries and areas attended AWCCA 2013 Assembly Meeting and reviewed the work in 2012-1013 and the plan in 2014. The delegates agreed that AWCCA will carry out work around the following aspects

1.The cable industry related standards, product quality management, and other information collection and sharing.

2.Academic seminar.

3.the KEMA test of Shanghai electric cable research institute, supporting services with AWCCA members in southeast Asia.

4.Wire Asia 2014 exhibition.

5.AWCCA 2014 Assembly Meeting will be held in Shanghai in September 2014.
