The AWCCA 2015 General Assembly Meeting was held in Taipei on the afternoon of Nov. 11, 2015.

Distinguished guests from cable and wire associations of mainland China, Taiwan China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam Cable & Wire Association attended the meeting. Chairmen group reviewed activities in 2014~2015, and discussed the 2016 working plan. Chairmen Group agreed that more activities shall be rolled out in 2016, in order to attract leading cable and wire manufacturers to join the alliance as Ordinary Members, and expand the influence of AWCCA in Asian region.

Prior to the annual General Assembly Meeting, delegates visited Walsin Lihwa Corporation, a leading cable and wire manufacture in Taiwan market. Participants were impressed by their Precise Management, Updated Logistic Tracking System, as well as the mechanism to encourage employees to improve their skill sets.

In addition to this, comments regarding the AWCCA Technical Specifications (First Draft) were collected through internal discussion meeting, and public hearing seminars with Taiwan cable and wire manufactures. Content developers will continue to modify the Draft and make it suits all Founder Member countries’ situation and end users’ needs.

2016 Activities for AWCCA summarize as follow:

1.Revise and complete the three AWCCA Technical Guidance (Submarine cable / Power cable for Wind Turbine / Photovoltaic cable).

2.Technical Forum in parallel with Wire China 2016 Exhibition.

3.Technical training for AWCCA member
