APKABEL was established in February 1973. It’s a member of several reputed organisations such as Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), the Indonesian Infocom Society (MASTEL), Indonesian Electrical Installation Safety Committee (KONSUIL) ,Under Supervision & Coordination, Indonesian Ministry of Industrial , Director Jenderal Industry of Metal and Machinery.

APKABEL comprises 49 members, 6 of them are Public Company, 3 are Foreign Company and 46 are Local Company.
